Agrigcultural Solar Panel Electricity
Green Pulse Energy supply the highest quality Agricultural Solar PV systems which offer a massive return on investment and huge energy saving capabilities.
What Is Agricultural Solar PV?
Agricultural solar systems are often huge systems that generate huge income and savings
Usually ground mounted but can also be roof mounted
Any land used for a system can still be used to raise livestock on
Receive massive income from the government incentive known as the feed-in-tariff
Sell excess electricity back to the grid
Help lowers carbon emissions generated by agricultural land
How Does It Work?
Solar panel electricity systems, also known as solar photovoltaics (PV), capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaic cells. These cells don’t need direct sunlight to work – they can still generate some electricity on a cloudy day. The cells convert the sunlight into electricity supplying a free source of electricity for your agricultural land/property.
What’s more, there have been many case studies on how to incorporate a large scale Solar PV system with farming land and the environment surrounding it.
Solar PV systems will leave you with the following benefits:
- Lower energy bills
Sunlight is free, so once you’ve paid for the initial installation your electricity costs will be reduced and you can start saving straight away.
- Get paid for the electricity you generate
The government’s Feed-In Tariffs pay you for the electricity you generate, even if you use it. Typically farm-based Solar PV arrays yield huge returns as they often cover large amounts of land (1-100 acres).
- Sell electricity back to the grid
If your system is producing more electricity than you need, or when you can’t use it, you can sell the surplus back to the grid.
- Cut your carbon footprint
Solar electricity is a green, renewable energy and doesn’t release any harmful carbon dioxide or other pollutants. For ever 5MW installed you will save over 2,000 tonnes of Co2.
- There is potential to integrate your array with the rest of your farm
If you have a large farm-based commercial pv array, there are steps you can take to ensure your land is being used to the maximum potential by using the land for both Solar PV and wildlife/farming. Click here to see how.
